Voir ceci en français

The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network welcomes this opportunity to provide submissions to Global Affairs Canada on the scope of the renegotiation and modernization of the existing North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

“Given the potential impact, domestically and globally, of a new trade agreement between Canada, the United States and Mexico, this briefing focuses on how respect for human rights, including safeguarding public health and ensuring equitable access to affordable medicines, has a crucial role to play in saving millions of people from dying of AIDS and preventing millions of new HIV infections. This public health imperative is reflected in the global Sustainable Development Goals agreed by all countries, including Canada, at the United Nations.”
